Mapping Mississippi: A Data Civics Educator Fellowship Application

Thanks for your interest in trubel&co's Mapping Mississippi: A Data Civics Educator Fellowship!

This application is for a 5-month Community of Practice with 10–15 Title I MS middle and high school teachers teaching science, social studies, geography, or statistics. You will be paired with a trubel&co geospatial facilitator to design, build, and classroom-test standards-aligned lesson plans using local Mississippi data — no prior data or GIS experience required!

Together, you'll share feedback and help create the Mississippi Educator Pack (publishing Winter 2027), featuring classroom-tested activities, map links, teacher exemplars, and reflections on what worked and what changed. Teachers commit to ~4 hours/month of live meetings and receive a $750 stipend for their participation.

4-hour monthly meeting commitment:

We welcome educators with all levels of experience. Just bring your curiosity, openness, and willingness to experiment — we'll support you with the rest!

This application should take ~15 minutes. Priority Deadline: July 16, 2026.
